Good evening everyone

Tomorrow is Memorial Day.  Please read on to see what we are doing.

Memorial Day morning flag ceremony (and ceremonies)
Monday May 30th.
If you choose to follow the morning presession and do the junket, The first ceremony starts at 6am at Baker community center.  From there the procession will go to South cemetery 6:20ish, then to North Graveyard 6:40ish and finally to Union Cemetery.
(I strongly suggest you go straight to Union Cemetery)
If you only want to come directly to Union Cemetery we will be meeting at Union at 6:45 Monday morning.  By meeting at 6:45 it allows us to get ourselves settled in and prepared for this final commemorative act of the morning.
This is a full Class A event.

Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast
Directly following the final flag ceremony
Monday morning after the flag ceremony we will be holding the pancake breakfast at the Veterans Center again as we did last year.  Troop One will be serving breakfast between 7:45a and 9:30a that Monday morning.

Memorial Day Parade
6th and Walnut 9:50a
Directly following the breakfast we will be participating in this year's Memorial Day parade.  We will be #9 in line, fairly close to the front of the parade.  Our meeting spot is 6th and Walnut street.  The parade will be from 9:50a to 10:45a Monday morning.  As we are the flagship troop in the area we are inviting all Troop One members past and present to join us marching down Main Street.  If you know anyone who would like to march with us please have them join in.

NOTE:  If you are in the marching band and will be playing tomorrow morning, your participation in the parade will still be counted.

Good evening everyone

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there!  The biggest thing we all have in common is my mother and your mother are both mothers.  Treat them right because you only ever get one.

It is that jam-packed time of the year where we pull out all the stops from now until summer camp. We have something going on almost every week.  I need everyone to visit the website and sign up for our events.  I must know who will and will not be attending.  Upcoming fast we have the Green Bay trip next weekend, Memorial day events, Kentucky trip and summer camp.  The trip to Green Bay and The Kentucky trip are ticketed events therefore advanced notice is MANDATORY  Three weeks ago the troop put a non-refundable deposit on the Green Bay tour tickets.  The purchase / reservations were based on troop interest during discussions. This is not just something for sports fans.  It also covers the history of the game and why it became as popular as it is today.

Our spring elections will be pushed forward one week to Monday May 16th. This will give everyone a chance to put their names in for something.  Everyone will have a part to play in the troop.  Whether you want a job or not you really need to consider a position or an assistant position.

If you have your report written up for the veterinary medicine merit badge please bring it with you Monday evening (tomorrow).  We can get it turned in and recorded.
