News Around Town
Nothing new for this week. If you know of anything going on in the tri-city area please let us know so we can talk about it.
They say that a picture can say a thousand words. Attached to this letter is a picture that perfectly describes how our weekend went. My choice for it would be....Wild. We were the official guinea pigs for the Yerkes Astronomy badge program and to say it was cool would be an understatement. From the foundations of the building to the archive attic we got to see and do some very unique and special things. Even with the outside looking like pea soup on Saturday night the observatory was out of this world. (yes it's punny and yes I meant it)

I want to send out a tremendous thank you to everyone that helped build the parade float on Friday night and participated in the electric light parade and wreath sales yesterday. The float team looked fantastic and the sales team outperformed expectations. Clocking in at almost an hour and ten minutes it was one of the longest parades I can remember. All in all it was a good way to end the Thanksgiving weekend.
