Troop One Parents,

If you are looking for YOUR opportunity to help out the Troop and can't make it to the campouts, this maybe your calling.  The search is on for a few folks that are needed to help coordinate the Troop's main fundraising effort which occurs annually.  We've had some great volunteers handling this the past few years and its time to pass the torch.  Without having a few individuals step forward to coordinate and assist, the boys' chances of maximizing their primary fundraising efforts will be difficult.  If you are interested in becoming a Troop One popcorn Kernel please talk to Rich Markovich.  We would really like to have these very important Troop volunteer positions solidified by March 31st.  Most of the coordinating and involvement for these positions are from September to December.  Thank you in advance to those who step forward. 

Scouts and Parents, this is just a reminder that for some events we need to reserve spots with a down payment by a specific date to purchase food/supplies based on how many commit to going. The Troop makes the down payment or purchases food/supplies based on the number of commitments we receive.  If for some reason you are unable to attend an activity that you committed to, please consider the following:
                - we may be able to find someone to fill your spot or
                - we may be able to get a refund depending on how much notice received or
                - we may still require your payment even though you are unable to attend

Please join me in congratulating Rob Ferrigan as he accepted the position of Troop 1 Committee Chair effective 5/14/2012.  Rob has been an active member of the committee in monthly meetings  and is in attendance to most campouts and Boards of Review.  Because of his commitment to scouting  Rob will provide stability and solid leadership during his tenure as the Troops newest Committee Chair.

An updated version of your training record is available online.  Go to 'Files' 'Troop Adults' and then select 'Leadership Training Status'.  

Expired courses are reflected with a #.  Please make sure you are current in Youth Protection, Weather Hazzards, Safe Swim Defense and Outdoor Camping.
